Sandblasting

Sandblasting is a mechanical process useful in particular for preparing the product for the subsequent painting and application of any anticorrosive cycle. Making the surface of the piece to be treated rougher makes it more receptive: there are different types of sandblasting depending on the result to be obtained.

Sandblasting erodes the surface of the material using specific materials and air: the roughness resulting from the treatment depends on the size of the grit used and the jet pressure.

When we talk about sandblasting we actually talk about different types of treatment, which vary depending on the result we want to obtain and the treatment that will then be applied to the piece. METALLIC GRILL

The metallic abrasive is normally used for steel and carbon surfaces and is ideal when calamine or laminated flakes must be removed with a strong adhesion to the metal. The most abrasive metal grits guarantee a high degree of roughness, ideal for high thickness coatings.

Garnet

This is the Almandine Garnet, one of the best natural abrasives for sandblasting processes: it guarantees an optimal result and a low environmental impact. It is suitable for carbon steel, stainless steel, cast iron aluminum and more generally for each metal surface and for any subsequent processing, from simple polishing to obtaining different degrees of roughness and cleanliness.

CORUNDUM

It does not contain free silica, is resistant to wear and impact and can be recycled a few times. It is suitable for any type of metal surface (carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum) and the various types of corundum allow you to choose the desired level of roughness. We usually use white corundum, higher quality than average.

GLASS MICROSPHERES

They are resistant to wear and impact, they do not contain free silica because they are inert and have a spherical shape and a smooth surface. They are used for sandblasting and shot-peening of stainless steels and do not cause removal or incision of the treated surfaces. They do not release unwanted components during use and this is why they are widely used in the chemical and pharmaceutical sector. The wide range of grain sizes allows for versatile treatments. We also carry out micro-sandblasting work on classic cars and motorcycles in general, antique metal parts and aluminum with various abrasive grain sizes for the removal of old paint, rust or oxidation in general.
